Hi! I have Studio One 2 and want to upgrade to Studio One 4.

I've seen some posts about being able to open your S2 songs in S3, and your S3 songs in S4. But does it work the same all the way? Will I be able to open my songs which I made in S2 and continue working on them in S4?

My piano teacher was telling me about sample one, but I don't know how to access that and if I can even get it for free.

In my Notion iCloud folder I have organized compositions further into subfolders. However when organized into subfolders, they will not load
through the iOS application. I would suggest making folders visible in the app and the compositions within them playable, because as it is now, all compositions even in sub-folders (in the Notion iCloud folder on the computer) do show up, but they are all in one big list, and any who are in a subfolder in the iCloud location are not able to load from the app.

I would like the ability to drag an effect from my browser onto an event

Which would automatically add that effect to the EVENT FX for that event.

AS OPPOSED to having to use a shortcut to bring up event fx or using the inspector, enabling event FX and then dragging or using the down arrow or plus sign and finding the effect.

This would also allow me to drag event FX from one even to another by dragging the effect from the EVENT FX info pane to another event.

There is an aoying "background" noise in several of the Studio One v4 instruments -- e.g., several pianos that caot be eliminated or masked. It renders the instrument useless and forces me to look for alteatives. I like the basic sound, but the quality is below par. Is this a known problem, or am I possibly doing something to cause this? I've checked the issue on multiple computers I own since I have several locations in multiple states where I do work in the studio.

The Master Control encoder is somewhat stiff and takes longer than I would like especially when selecting resources near the bottom of a list.
Example: In Digital Patching (Input Source) there's 69 Inputs to scroll through. It would be so must faster (with wraparound capability) to dial the encoder counterclockwise to select those items near the bottom.

When I attempt to mute an Instrument Track/Chael in Studio One v4 via both my Faderport (2018) and the Studio One Remote app for Android, the Instrument Track/Chael will mute fine, but the mute indicator on the Instrument Track in the Arranger View will not light up in the Studio One Artist UI (The mute indicator on the Instrument Chael in the Console does light up).

Support has stated that this behavior is intentional; however, I find it somewhat odd that the status of Instrument Tracks/Chaels soloed via the Fadetport and the Remote app sync across both the Arranger and Console views as expected, while mute status does not (shows in Console, but not in Arranger).

I am on Windows 10 x64. Studio One v4, UC, Faderport firmware, and Android app are all updated to latest versions.

I really love studio one's patte mode. It would be great if you could change the currently playing patte with a midi controller.

With this you would have something a little like Ableton Live's session mode.

This web site is selling PreSonus hardware, but I'd like to know if they are a reputable company for new products.

I don't think that it's either of those things you mentioned.

I'm working on a Mac (OS Mojave) with a 4 GHz processor and 32 GB of memory. I'm not the most technically astute guy in the room, but I'm pretty sure my rig has enough oomph to run Univeral Control (but correct me if I'm wrong!).

And I make sure that my phone is powered off or at least not in the same room with me when I'm trying to record.

If you or anyone else has any other trouble-shooting suggestions, I would totally appreciate it.

Okay, I'm having a thing and not sure what is happening. I'm sure that it is some setting that I'm overlooking. I'm ruing StudioOne 4 on my Windows 10(64) machine. My MIDI controller is the M-Audio Keystation 49e. I have it up and ruing and it triggers all of the instruments nicely. I can hear the audio through my monitors, headphones, or both. I'm specifically interested in Impact so I can use my controller to record drums because, let's face it, I'm not a drummer.

So here's my problem: although I can hear everything the sounds aren't being recorded. All of the meters are saying that I am getting input from my controller but the meter on the drum chael isn't showing anything. I'm not showing a waveform when I start recording. Nothing. So what am I overlooking here?

Hi, I have my in ear pre amp set to Aux 11 and 12 but O can't hear any of the FX in my in ear monitors. I can hear it through the monitor speakers but nothing coming out of Aux 11 and 12.

How can I send the FX to aux 11 and 12?

I noticed that the fat chael presets I had saved with U.C. on the RML32AI are seen with U.C.
StudioLive 32R wanted to know if you can upload to RML32R without problems. Option that would allow me not to waste time with the bands.

Why do you not support German language? Are not interested to have users in Germany?

I would be really helpful to have the helpfile also in german like you had it in Stodio one3 before.

Coming from Mixcraft, I've found that tuning when recording is quite a task in studio one. Made more frustrating that I have to be monitoring my input for it to work.

Mixcraft: click arm track to record with whatever input you have selected > click tuner button (you don't need to be monitoring the input either which is great if you have latency issues)

Studio one: click to arm track with input selected > go onto faders section > add insert, look for or type tuner to add on to the fader > open that tuner up every time you need to re tune. (then do the whole process again for every track you need a tuner on)

This would be so great to have as Im sure many people would like to be able to just hit record and hit a tuner button on the track list in the way Mixcraft does this.

Hi Guys. Love Studio One and do not want to change DAW but with the same old problem of lacking MPE support now I have a very lovely and expressive thing (Listrument).

I found an article before I purchased it describing how to get around the problem of no MPE support with S1 for MPE instruments like this and follishly didn't make a note of it. I understand it involves creating several instrument tracks putting them in a folder to be able to work with easily.

Two questions:

Could anyone please describe how I might do this? At the moment I'm only getting aftertouch and modulation messages, no actual note on messages working on any software instrument.

And will this use 16x the CPU? I hope not.

Anyone had any experience with this? Thank you in advance

After I add Melodyne to a track in Studio One (and tranfer sound), Studio One does not recognize volume curves or when you delete part or all of that track, unless you deactivate or remove Melodyne from the track. I used Melodyne to make corrections on a vocal track, after I was done I tryed to fade in part of the vocals on that track and the vocals would just kick right in, unless I deactivated Melodyne.

When I select chael 10 - 17 within group All for example and then I change to Bus to work with busses (or using any other group button) and then go back again to All my FP 8 always starts with chael 1 - 8 again. I am a drummer and I would like to create a template on capture 2.

open a template with name for each input (kick snare etc....) and remove 2 tracks for recording (14 tracks instead of 16).Like that just by select this template I will be ready to record a new session without doing this manually each time I create a new session.But maybe there is another way to do it.
